Overheard

Zi "where is dad?"
Reagan "he's in the microwave"
Zi "where did dad go?"
Reagan "he's all cooked up"
Zi "where's dad?"
Reagan "sorry Zi, he's gone forever"
Zi "dad?"

I love how he just ignored her.

Wisconsin Dells

**my stacibarrett.com domain expired - switch back to pointedandshot.blogspot.com for your readers**

At the end of July we decided to take a quick vacation to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed at Mt. Olympus which is the largest park up there. I was a little nervous about it because I wanted to stay somewhere a little less overwhelming for the kids. But we found they had these.

These were tree houses at one of their campgrounds. There were bunk beds and a queen inside as well as a microwave and mini fridge (and AC). There was no running water though and we had to use the camp showers and bathrooms.

Reagan was furious that it said "No Girls Allowed" - she wanted me to march to the front office and demand that they take the sign down.

The park had a theme park area and a water park. We did the rides first. There was a small area for kids their size and they were able to ride the go carts with us.

Little tourists

They loved riding the rides over and over. The go carts were a hit too. Zion was so excited to "drive" it.

We didn't get any pics at the water park, but it was perfect! They had so many areas that the kids could enjoy, even Kobe. The big kids could go down some by themselves, or on our laps. Jerime and I each took a turn going on some of the adult size rides by ourselves. The kids even like looking at the slides at the other parks from the car. At one point Reagan said "I think 'Wisconsin Dells' is Spanish for 'water park'!"

We ate at a restaurant called Buffalo Phils.

a scary buffalo

Our food was delivered by train. The kids thought that was so cool.

All in all our trip was a lot of fun (except when I accidentally assaulted a kid on a ride). We even had our breakfast randomly paid for at a Cracker Barrel one morning - holla! Can't wait to go back again!

Workout update

So, I attempted my first workout yesterday. First of all it was almost impossible without a babysitter. I was constantly interrupted. Second, I am weak! W-E-A-K! I could lift the 10lb weights, but I had a hard time finishing the reps let alone do all the sets. Today I am sore in muscles I didn't know I had. Looking forward to Jerime getting home so I can work out a little more properly.

The diet is getting easier. I need to figure out how to add in a little more variety though. Here's a picture of my smallest portion size. Isn't that crazy! That is one of 4 huge meals. The rest are "snacks" but I would consider some of them a meal too.

Is anyone else following the Casey Anthony trial? I am so intrigued by it. I think the thing that draws me in is her almost complete lack of emotion. I find that very strange and I can't wrap my head around it! I am eager to hear the defense this week.

Who's ready to eat!

Wow! I am eating so much food! I am eating 6 meals a day and to me it seems like a lot of food. Sometimes it feels like I am eating a full dinner each time. Yesterday I starting eating clean and I realized how much junk I've been eating. I was having sugar withdraws by the end of the day with a headache to boot.

Today I will be starting the workout. Reading through my plan I am a little worried about lifting 10lb weights. Pathetic right!

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 4:13

I'll try to get an update in this evening letting you all know how wimpy I am! I'll try to get that pic up too. I took a before one for my trainer, but I want a little more modest one for my blog.

Start Day

Today I got my 16 week plan! I'm so excited. I'm considering today my start day where I get everything organized, grocery list, schedule, etc. Tomorrow I will start the program. I plan to do every single thing it says on it. Nothing more or less. Can't wait to see my progress! I will be posting a before picture either today or tomorrow.

Jerime will be traveling for work this week so I'm afraid it will be a little bit tougher for him. He does have a gym at his hotel though.

In other news, we are finishing up painting the inside of our house and hope to be back on the market very soon. Houses are selling here now, so we're trying to get it done quickly. It's hard to paint with three little ones though. They always want to help.

16 weeks

So, Jerime and I have enrolled in a boot camp. At the end of 16 weeks we are going to be in the best shape of our lives. I'm excited. After three kids I feel like Adam Sandler in this clip.

I will be blogging about this over the next 4 months so stay tuned!

Touched by an angel

Kobe has gotten a cold and has started to breathe kind of wheezy. This morning around 3:30 I fed him and laid him next to me in bed. I laid down about 2 feet from him and fell back to sleep. It felt like I was only asleep for a few moments and I felt a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and I saw a hand pointing to Kobe. He was not breathing. I shook him and he was like a rag doll. I was just about to yell for Jerime to call 911 when he started breathing again. The whole thing was surreal and I never got panicked. I did stay awake the rest of the night to make sure he kept breathing.

Thanking God for watching over us!

Brothers

I've never had a brother, and Jerime never had one either, so brothers are all new to us. It's very fun to see these two interact and grow up together. They love spending time together. Aren't they cute!

The first time we heard Kobe laugh out loud (other than in his sleep) was when we were all hanging out and the kids were being goofy. No one was paying attention to Kobe, but he was smiling big watching everything. Zi leaned over and grabbed Kobe's hand and he cracked up! He was so glad to be part of the action.

Zion has many many nicknames for Kobe. He mostly calls him Lumpster or Koba-be-bo.

On Valentine's Day Zion said to me "Mom, you're the best Mom I never met in the whole wide!" :)

She can't be bothered!

(yes, she still likes to be topless)

Reagan has become more and more independent. This has been great most of the time, but sometimes she can be a little sassy (no way!).

I have been battling a nasty cold for the past month. The other day I thought I was running a fever so I asked her if she would get me the thermometer.

R: "why do you always ask me and not Zion"
M: "well you don't have to do it I just thought I would ask you for a favor"

trying again...

M: "I just really wish a nurse would take my temperature"
R: "then go to a doctor!"

I had to laugh at that one. She was just too busy. She eventually got it for me, but first had to finish what she was doing.

She is so much fun!

Locks of Love

My hair grows really fast. Several inches a year. My hair has been getting pulled a lot lately by a grabby little 3 month old. So I decided to cut it off. A major change! But I love it and it is so easy to take care of now. I was also able to donate 2 ponytails of my long hair to Locks of Love.

Reagan cried and cried. She said I'm not a mommy anymore. She's getting used to it but she doesn't do well with change in general. I'd like her to be able to donate some day but her hair grows very very slowly. She's never even had shoulder length hair. It doesn't help that she cut it herself once!
